Dedicated circuits for hot tubs, pools, saunas, EV chargers, ranges, dryers, garages and workshops, sized right, permitted and inspected.
A hot tub, a Level 2 EV charger or an induction range each draws more than a whole 1970s kitchen. MNR Electric runs the dedicated circuit, installs the disconnect or receptacle the manufacturer and the code require, checks that your panel and service can actually carry the new load, and pulls the permit so the inspection record is in your file. If the panel cannot carry it, we tell you before you buy the hot tub, not after.
GFCI-protected 40 to 60 amp circuits, weatherproof disconnect in sight of the tub, bonding and the clearances the code requires.
Level 2 charger circuits (typically 40 to 60 amp) in garages and driveways, load calculations, and energy-management options when the panel is near capacity.
New or relocated 30 and 50 amp circuits for gas-to-electric conversions, induction ranges, wall ovens and dryers.
Detached garage feeds, sub-panels, welder and compressor circuits, block heater outlets and shop lighting.
Properly sized circuits and outdoor disconnects for central air, mini-splits and heat pumps.
Pump, heater and lighting circuits with the bonding and GFCI protection pools demand.
Most hot tubs need a dedicated 240 volt, 40 to 60 amp GFCI-protected circuit from the panel, a disconnect within sight of the tub and at least 1.5 metres from the water, and bonding of the tub and nearby metal. It is permitted work and we include the permit and inspection.
Often yes for a 100 amp service with a gas furnace and gas range, often not with electric heat or an existing hot tub. We do a load calculation first. Where the service is tight, an energy-management device or a smaller charger setting can avoid a full upgrade.
Yes. A new circuit for a charger is permitted work under the Safety Codes Act. We pull the permit under our master electrician and book the inspection.
We install the charger and wire the hot tub to the manufacturer’s instructions. The hot tub dealer typically places the tub; we coordinate the timing so the disconnect is ready the day it arrives.
