Up-front electrician rates in Edmonton

Friendly, up-front and honest. You know the rate before the truck rolls, and project work gets a free, detailed, itemized estimate.

Published rates, no surprises

Most Edmonton electricians will not tell you a price until they are standing in your kitchen. MNR Electric publishes its service rates, billed per electrician, and includes the stocked van and travel, so a service call costs what you expected. Larger jobs that need two electricians are quoted that way up front. Larger jobs are quoted in writing, itemized, and we hold to the quote as closely as the job allows. Prices do not include GST or permit fees unless your estimate says otherwise.

Pricing questions

No. Project work such as panel upgrades, rewiring, tenant improvements, restoration scopes and new circuits gets a free, detailed estimate. Service calls (diagnosing and fixing a problem the same visit) are billed at the published rates.

Three hours of a journeyman electrician’s time during regular hours, travel, and a van stocked with the breakers, devices, wire and common fixtures that fix most problems on the first visit. Materials used are extra and listed on the invoice.

Yes. Permit fees are set by the City of Edmonton or the municipality and are passed through at cost unless your estimate says otherwise. We pull the permit and book the inspection for you.

For restoration work we provide an itemized scope and invoice in the format adjusters expect, and we bill the party named in the claim as directed by your insurer or restoration contractor. See insurance claims for how that works.
